Outlaws of Love Lyrics (transcribed by newlie et al)
Song written by Adam Lambert

Oh, nowhere left to go
Are we getting closer, closer?
No - All we know is no
Nights are getting colder, colder
Hey, tears all fall the same
We all feel the rain, we can't change
Everywhere we go, we're looking for the sun
Nowhere to grow old, we're always on the run
They say we'll rot in hell, but I don't think we will
They've branded us enough, outlaws of love

Scars make us who we are
Hearts and homes are broken, broken
Far, we could go so far with our minds wide open, open
Hey, tears all fall the same
We all feel the rain, we can't change
And everywhere we go, we're looking for the sun
Nowhere to grow old, we're always on the run
They say we'll rot in hell, but I don't think we will
They've branded us enough, outlaws of love
Ohhhhhhhhhh Ohhhhhhhhhh Ohhhhhhhhhh

Everywhere we go, we're looking for the sun
Nowhere to grow old, we're always on the run
They say we'll rot in hell, but I don't think we will
They've branded us enough, outlaws of love
Outlaws of love, outlaws of love, outlaws of love

Neon Limelight - review of Outlaws of Love

Video: Adam Lambert Debuts New Song, “Outlaws Of Love,” At Quebec Concert

Even though Adam Lambert is still hard at work finishing up his sophomore album, he’s giving fans a sneak preview of the epicness he has in store on the new set.

Our favorite guy liner-loving glam god debuted a new song, titled “Outlaws Of Love,” that he says will indeed be on the new album, at a concert last night (July 29) in Ste. Agathe, Quebec.

“In all the things I’ve been talking about over the past year, a lot of them boiled down to acceptance,” Adam told the crowd as he introduced the song. “This is the song that I wrote about how it feels that no matter where you go or where you turn, sometimes it feels like you’re just running from the law.”

A gentle rock guitar rift begins the song as that gorgeously tender voice of Adam’s sings the heartfelt lyrics. “Everywhere we go, we’re looking for the sun/Nowhere to grow old, we’re always on the run/They say we’ll rot in hell, but I don’t think we will/They’ve branded us enough/Outlaws of love.”

After the second chorus, Adam takes his time going up and down the scale of his vocal range, before revving up the final chorus to include a breathtaking high note. It’s a total eargasm that only makes the wait for more new music even more torturous.

Lyndsey Parker (Yahoo Music) reviews Outlaws of Love

Oh Canada! Adam Lambert Debuts New Song In Quebec
by Lyndsey Parker in Reality Rocks

It's a good time to be an Adam Lambert fan. And an even better time to be Adam Lambert. After months of the Glamerican Idol laying relatively low while working on his salivatingly anticipated second album, he's reared his impeccably coiffed head several times as of late. First, he ranked high on Forbes' list of top-earning "American Idol" alums. Then a lost pre-"Idol" song he recorded with electronic artist J. Scott G., "Live The Life," finally saw a commercial release. Then a teaser of his upcoming "Behind The Music" special hit the Interweb. And now a brand-new song by Adam, tentatively titled "Outlaws Of Love," has premiered, and the Interweb has unsurprisingly imploded with positive responses.

Adam performed July 29 at the St. Agathe en Feux Festival in Quebec, Canada (or is that "Glamada"?), where he crooned the previously unheard ballad for an audience of very lucky Canucks. And before the night was over, before Adam had probably even wiped off the night's eyeliner, a raw recording of the song was online and being enthusiastically traded in the Twitterverse.

"In all the things that I've been talking about over the past year, a lot of them boil down to acceptance," Adam told the howling crowd as he introduced the pensive, dust-in-the-windy tune. "And this is a song that I wrote about how it feels that no matter where you go or where you turn, sometimes it feels like you're just running from the law."

And then he blew a bunch of Québécois minds and sang this:
[Suz526 Video]

While it's a little difficult for me to give a proper review of this song due to all the incessant screaming (subsequent irritated shushing that follows) throughout the video above, I'm able to make out enough over the din of Canadian cackling and impromptu marriage proposals to know that...this song is lovely. Just lovely. The spare arrangement here is obviously ideal for showcasing brooding lyrics like "scars make us who we are," "everywhere we go we're looking for the sun," and "they say we'll rot in hell, but I don't think we will." However, I am already wondering what the recorded version will sound like (since Adam said this song will for sure be on his next album), because it could go in all sorts of directions.

Adam could definitely take this song the straightahead adult-pop route (a la his biggest hit, "Whataya Want From Me"), but of course I am excitedly imagining a bombastic recording that turns it into a full-blown, wind-blown power ballad (a la my favorite Lambert B-side, the epic "Can't Let You Go"). In fact, some of "Outlaws Of Love's" lyrics almost have an '80s stadium-ballad feel to them...and I mean that in the best possible way.

But no matter what, I'm sure Adam will be singing this song in stadiums--hopefully ones in the States--soon enough!

Rockstar Weekly reports on Outlaws of Love and Live the Life

Adam Lambert New Songs Outlaws Of Love and Live The Life (audio)

Two new Adam Lambert songs have surfaced this summer. He premiered a new track written for his next album at at the St. Agathe en Feux Festival in Quebec on Friday night when he debuted a new song called “Outlaws of Love and earlier this month Lambert's vocals graced the new single from producer J. Scott G. called Live The Life, which instantly rose to the #2 slot on iTunes when it was released.

Fan video of Outlaws of Love popped up almost immediately after his performance at the festival. The sultry acoustic ballad sees Lambert showcasing his powerful pipes in similar fashion to the Acoustic Live! EP from late 2010. Outlaws of Love is a song Lambert seems pretty passionate about.

"I've been working the last couple months on my album," Lambert told the Quebec crowd. "This is a song that will be on the new album. All the things I've been talking about for the past year - a lot of them boil down to acceptance. And this is a song that I wrote about how it feels that no matter where you go or where you turn, sometimes it just feels like you're running from the law."

The other song, Live The Life, was written and produced almost a year before Lambert appeared on American Idol. The exciting dance track, which features heavy beats and a killer chorus, was put on hold until this year. With Lambert's permission, the track was released on July 20 through iTunes and Beatport.

Although Live The Life is endorsed by Lambert, some fans appeared to be upset about the music being released, questioning if Lambert is being paid for the single. With Tweets from both J. Scott G. and Adam Lambert, fans can be assured that the track is authentic, licensed and 100% endorsed.

"Check out J Scott G's "Live the Life" feat Me! We wrote and recorded this a year before Idol," Lambert wrote, while Scott G. wrote "See guys... Adam just endorsed "Live The Life" on his Twitter. Drama over. Go buy it :)"

They just aired Adam’s interview from Friday, and while I’m sure someone will get it up on YouTube shortly, I just quickly typed up the Q&A as I was listening.

The interview itself was in English but the hosts had a little banter in French ahead of it. They were joking a bit, saying how they had been told that Adam was “very punctual” but that they waited about 45 mins for him to show up for the interview. heh. But they said once he talked to them, he was very generous and nice, and talked a bit about his new album.

Because it was the fireworks festival, the host was going to ask the crowd, “Êtes-vous en feux?” (Are you on fire?) haha

Anyway, the questions all came from Twitter and I hope I captured his answers correctly.

What is your biggest fear?
Adam: For a while, it was that I would get to the end of my life as an older man and I’d be alone. That was scary to me.

Why did you choose a key as your new tattoo?
Adam: I have a painting hanging in my new place that I’m renting, and a friend of mine Hans Haveron created it, it’s part of the painting… it resonated with me.

What do you think are the best aspects of your voice?
Adam: I have a pretty big range. I’ve been told in recording studios that I can sing really quiet and really loud. [he seemed a bit embarrassed] I don’t know, that’s for you to tell me, not for me to tell you.

What insipires you the most lastely?
Adam: Love! Love is really good. I like pieces of music or art that provoke a sense of wonder, or isnpire you to question the world you live in and think there’s more than meets the eye and that’s something I’ve been exploring in my music lately.
